Grassroots Soccer Academy was established in November 2016 by Dave Steele, in hope of giving more opportunities for the players in the local area and moving them on to the next level.
We hold classes, clinics and teams for ages 2-11 all year round. Teaching the fundamentals of soccer, we are primary linked with a lot of players new to the sport and help them on their pathway to develop into established soccer players

Expectations
Grassroots wants to provide the best fun experience for all players around. To help this we have given ourselves expectations of :
REFUND POLICY:
REFUNDS FOR THE SEASON WILL NOT GIVEN UNLESS A DOCTORS NOTE REMOVING THE PLAYER FROM PARTICIPATION IS USED BEFORE THE SEASON BEGINS
- To provide fun soccer classes/practices for players to enjoy
- To provide a educational soccer environment where players can strive
- To provide a safe soccer environment to ensure of no risks for the players
- To provide a strong communication option to parents so they feel very comfortable to approach us with any questions or concerns
- To provide players with professional coaching to help develop them at a faster pace
- To provide the area with a great option to participate in the sport we love
- To provide a pathway for players to continue their soccer journeys in the stage they are in

Player Parent Code of Conduct
At Grassroots , we want the best experience for all including the parents. We have a Parent and Player code of conduct that we wish to share with you to help everyone have the best experience .
I the player/parent, agree to be thoughtful, respectful and polite during all classes or games
I the player/parent promise not to disrupt other players during classes or games which could result in that player not being able to play at the his/hers highest ability
I the player/parent agree to allow the coach to coach and have full trust in them to help the player develop
I the player/parent will do my utmost to make soccer a fun experience by making friends, smiling and learning as much as possible about the game of soccer

Coaching Agreement
At Grassroots we are expanding into different counties across Maryland with the high chance of expanding into multiple states too. To ensure that the quality of the product we offer is always high in the coaches we have, we have a set code of conduct for all of our Independent Contractors. Grassroots will be the banner for your classes/teams and wants the name of the Academy to remain positive.
For all coaches involved in Grassroots, we will cover:
In return for Grassroots covering the above with costs needed , coaches involved in Grassroots will :
For all coaches involved in Grassroots, we will cover:
- Coaching Clothing to wear in all weather conditions
- Handle permits for fields requested by the coach
- Handle communication/scheduling for the team Via Teamsnap
- Handle registrations for each participant per session
- Cover Insurance for each coach
- Promote for the session/team in set locations via social media or email distribution
- Cover all updates and communication to parents/guardians as needed
In return for Grassroots covering the above with costs needed , coaches involved in Grassroots will :
- Make sure they are registered with Grassroots as a coach
- Go through a background check
- Wear Grassroots clothing during sessions/games
- Ensure all participants are registered through the Academy
- Ensure all participants are provided with a safe, professional and fun experience as a high priority
- Will communicate with the Academy administration any plan for a new session/team
- Will ensure all parents/guardians of participants communicate with the Academy administration so coaches can just handle the coaching side
- Coaches will be paid minus the administration fee after the class/clinic/team is filled. Payments can be daily/weekly/monthly depending on the type of class/session/team being created and coaches will be constantly made aware of how many participants have registered
